Hello fellow hobbyists,
I'm thrilled to share some recent updates from Proxywars, including our latest painting tutorials and upcoming project launches. I always want my work to connect with others in the community who share the same passion for miniatures and tabletop gaming, so here’s what I’ve been up to!
First up, last week, I released a tutorial on painting the Drelkar Demolisher. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out here: Drelkar Demolisher Painting Tutorial. The response has been fantastic! Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to make further progress on that army, but it’s still a very exciting project.
Today, I’m launching a new tutorial focused on the Wild Grimfangs—massive, ferocious wolves ready to charge into battle. This straightforward paint scheme pairs perfectly with my huge orc army. I’ve field-tested these units in four different battles so far, and I’m thrilled with their role on the battlefield. They’re fragile and sacrificial yet offensively powerful, creating a unique threat that forces the enemy to stay alert and sometimes make tactical errors.
Recently, my primary focus has been on the upcoming Tenkyo Ruins Kickstarter. I’m close to completing all the print tests and the new modular system for files designed exclusively for resin printing.
This new system means that not only can this biome be printed entirely in resin, but all future biomes can as well, making the line accessible to players using only resin printers.
Additionally, this approach allows for 100% modular building designs, with over 30 pre-generated structures and the potential to create multi-level tabletop layouts for role-playing games. Everything is nearly complete, but I’d love some extra testing to ensure the quality. If you’re interested in trying out these new files, feel free to reach out! I’m aiming for an early January campaign launch.
Finally, I need to share some bittersweet news. Holo Miniature has unilaterally ended all commercial licenses, meaning that after December, I will no longer be able to offer Holo’s Fantasy Elf models (High Elves, Dark Elves, and Wood Elves) as physical purchases. So, if you’ve been considering expanding your fantasy elf armies, now is the time to order before they’re no longer available.
Thanks, as always, for your continued support. My goal is to bring high-quality models and tutorials that inspire and enhance your gaming experience. Keep painting, keep gaming, and know that I’m right here alongside you in this fantastic hobby!
Stay tuned,
William
